If your child has been looking for a judo ADVANTAGE this class is for them...The 2-hour, technique based, class will be held in "the cage" at Impact Elite Gym. Students will spend one hour learning core BJJ techniques for judo groundwork (Newaza) and one hour learning Russian takedowns and throws (Techiwaza).
Coach Jesse, a Black Belt in USA Judo & a Brown Belt in BJJ under Dustin Denes, will emphasize core BJJ techniques for judo Newaza (ground work). Class will include the following techniques: guard sweeps & attacks, guard passing, turtle guard, half-guard, pins & escapes, and submissions. BJJ will be taught with a focus on judo ground rules as opposed to the BJJ point system.
Coach Nikolay, a Judo Black Belt from Russia and a "Candidate-to-Master" in Sambo, will teach judo emphasizing Russian grips, takedowns, and throws with extreme attention to detail/technique.
This class is a must have for all judoka 10-years and older.

* * BONUS: If moms/dads want to get in a workout while kids are in class they can pay a $5.00 drop-in fee and use the gym.
